The BC Conservative caucus file moved again on August 26. For OneBC supporters, the point is not to cheer chaos. The point is to keep showing why courage, calm judgment, and public receipts matter.

CityNews Vancouver reported on August 26, 2026 that Brennan Day, MLA for Courtenay-Comox, and Teresa Wat, MLA for Richmond-Bridgeport, both left the BC Conservative caucus and said they could no longer serve under Kerry-Lynne Findlay’s leadership.

Global News separately reported that Day became the fourth BC Conservative legislator to quit in three days, joining Wat, Rosalyn Bird, Ian Paton, and Peter Milobar among recent defectors from the caucus or party lane.

Northern Beat’s August 26 Peter Milobar podcast page says Milobar and Paton are pursuing a new centre-right party path, while Bird, Wat, and Day moved to the Independent benches. CityNews also reported that Milobar and Paton are trying to establish their own party before the fall legislative session.
