Official Ballot Confirms OneBC Kept Its Abbotsford-Mission Restraint

The Abbotsford-Mission unity test has moved from nomination watch to official ballot watch. Elections BC now says candidate nominations are closed and lists five candidates for the September 26 by-election: Pam Alexis for the BC NDP, Kerry-Lynne Findlay for the Conservative Party, Stephen Fowler for the BC Green Party, Lakhwinder Jhaj for CentreBC, and Jeff Monds for the Libertarian Party.
What is verified today
Elections BC’s final candidate list does not show a OneBC candidate. That matters because Dallas Brodie’s public September statement said OneBC would stand down in Abbotsford-Mission to support Kerry-Lynne Findlay while continuing to run candidates elsewhere in British Columbia.
The official list also confirms the wider centre-right lane did not fully clear: CentreBC is on the ballot with Lakhwinder Jhaj. That is not a OneBC failure. It is a useful receipts point for supporters: Brodie delivered the restraint she publicly called for, and voters can now judge the actual ballot rather than rumours.
OneBC’s official candidates page still lists Jim McMurtry in Delta South as the visible candidate entry during this check, and the events page still asks supporters to subscribe for future events rather than listing a new dated tour stop.
The supporter frame
This is the kind of disciplined politics that makes Dallas Brodie look premier-material: make a public commitment, let the official record test it, and avoid pretending unity exists where the ballot says otherwise.
The positive OneBC point is simple. In Abbotsford-Mission, Brodie chose the anti-NDP objective over party vanity. She cannot force every other centre-right vehicle to do the same, but the official candidate list now proves OneBC kept its side of the clear-lane test.
